Review:

Blood Sin is the second book in Marie Treanor's Awakened by Blood series. This book focuses mostly on Saloman's infamous lost sword. When the wrong people get their sights set on finding this powerful sword, it's a race to see who gets to it first.

Elizabeth is once again torn between her duty to the vampire hunters, as well as her love for Saloman. She knows that their differences will always come between them, but you can't choose who your heart decides to love. Their feelings for each other deepen in this book, and there are definitely some swoon-worthy moments.

The actual plot of this story honestly didn't grab me. I preferred the plot of the first book better, when Saloman and Elizabeth were determined to kill each other but couldn't get themselves to do it. I liked this book just as much though, which might sound odd. I don't think there was as many slow parts, and Saloman continues to grow on me. You really can't help but like him. These two have amazing chemistry that I never get bored of. There is just something about the forbidden love between a vampire and human – I can't get enough of it.

The secondary characters grew on me a little bit, and some new ones were introduced in this book. Things were left open again at the end of this book that will compel you to read the next. I have this hope that things can work themselves out to where Elizabeth and Saloman can live happily ever after. I have a feeling that more will come between them, and I can't wait to see how things will end up between these two.
